Below please find an invitation from Steve and Tanja Pankratz to take part in a ministry opportunity in Bulgaria.
Sofia Christian Academy is looking for teachers who are willing to serve by educating missionary kids in Sofia, Bulgaria. Unfortunately, educational opportunities for MKs are very limited here which has contributed to many families having to leave the field. We would like to see SCA continue to fulfill its important role as an affordable and suitable educational option for missionary children in Bulgaria. We ourselves have children who will be transitioning from the Bulgarian system into 5th and 3rd grade at SCA.
We have been serving in Sofia, Bulgaria, Eastern Europe for the last 9 years. After our son, Jaden, was born with Down Syndrome in 2007, a new world of ministry opened up to us. It has been a privilege to walk this path together with the Bulgarians, for whom the challenges are much greater than in the West due to societal stigma and lack of available resources and training. We desire to continue to live and serve alongside the Bulgarians, as God sees fit. As Jaden grows to school age, we are sensing the need for an English-speaking Special Education teacher or Occupational Therapist who would be able to work with Jaden on a daily basis (2-3 hours). In addition, this specialist could engage in many other ministry opportunities with special needs children, such as helping the schools integrate these children, training parents, conferences, family camps, and more. The need is so great and we would be so grateful for such a partnership.
Thank you for considering serving in this way.
