Author & Professor Gregory Wilson to be guest lecturer at Science Fiction course

On Thursday, October 8, Dr. Gregory A. Wilson will be the guest speaker at Dr. Kevin Pinkham’s Science Fiction class.  The event with Dr. Wilson will begin at roughly 7:45 p.m. in HTS 5.

Dr. Wilson, Professor of English and Speech at St. John’s University, has published a number of academic works on texts ranging from the plays of Jonson and Marlowe to Ulysses and Mrs. Dalloway. His third book, Icarus, will be published as a graphic novel by Silence in the Library Publishing in 2015, and he has just signed a three book deal with The Ed Greenwood Group, which will be publishing his Gray Assassin Trilogy. In addition to his extensive academic work, he has published short stories and novels in the Fantastic Literature vein. 

A renown voice in the field of science fiction, as well as being a theatre critic, Dr. Wilson will be joining Dr. Pinkham’s class to discuss the topic of writing Literature of the Fantastic, publishing, Science Fiction, Fantasy, and whatever other topics happen to come up during the conversation.  Dr. Wilson received his Ph.D. in English from Brandeis University.
