Dr. Daniel Kaluka, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, and colleagues have published a research article entitled “Spectroscopic and Mutagenesis Studies of Human PGRMC1”, in the Biochemistry journal (Biochemistry, 2015, 54 (8), pp 1638–1647).

PGRMC1 (Progesterone receptor membrane component 1) has had the research community excited since its reported links to several malignancies (such as breast cancer) and potential as a possible molecular target for cancer therapy. This paper utilized mutagenesis and spectroscopy to characterize this important protein.
