Dr. Pinkham delivers paper and publishes review

Dr. Kevin Pinkham, Assistant Professor of English, delivered a paper entitled “‘Deliberately Ignoring the Highballs’: Signifying Race, Alcohol, and the Temperance Narrative in Wallace Thurman’s Infants of the Spring” at the South Atlantic Modern Language Association Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. The theme of this year’s conference was “SAMLA 86: Sustainability and the Humanities.”

Dr. Pinkham also published a review of Elana Gomel’s Science Fiction, Alien Encounters, and the Ethics of Posthumanism: Beyond the Golden Rule in the Science Fiction Research Association Review. The SFRA is the oldest professional organization for the study of science fiction and fantasy literature and film.

Dr. Pinkham serves as Assistant Nonfiction Editor of the SFRA.
