Dr. Greaves explores Hip Hop culture in Diaspora

Dr. Sharron Greaves, Associate Professor of Communications, delivered a paper, “Nollywood and Hip Hop in the Diaspora: The Local and Global Impact of Two Popular Culture Phenomena” at the New Haven Hip-Hop Conference on the campus of Southern Connecticut State University. This year’s theme, Finding Common Ground:  Exploring Interconnections in Social Justice, Media, Education, and Cultural Politics, explored the multifaceted elements of hip-hop culture.
