Directed by Dr. Kevin Pinkham, Assistant Professor of English, Nyack College's spring production of Mark Twain and David Ives's play Is He Dead? recently finished a successful six-show run. The play tells the story of an artist who, deeply in debt, fakes his death to earn money; after all, paintings by living artists aren't worth much. Starring Jeremiah Rivera as the lead, the play featured a diverse cast, ranging from freshman students new to Nyack's stage to graduating seniors thrilled that Nyack is putting on plays again. Featured in the play (in order of appearance) were Phil Strangolagalli, Josh Schmidt, Katie O'Sullivan, Alison Birch, Mitchell Woodford, Simon Song, Brittany Wetherill, Rebeka Williams, Kevin Winkle, Kristin Ivaldi, David Carrera, and Danny Avila. The play also had a surprising walk-on appearance of two professors, Charles Beach, Professor of English, and Amy Davis-Abdallah, Assistant Professor of Bible. A wonderful student crew made sure every performance went on without a hitch. Laura Davis once more worked wonders with costumes, with Chris Rafalski and Shanna Lewis working as student directors
