Colloquium explores Presidential election

Dr. David Turk, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, facilitated a thoughtful and provocative discussion with distinguished faculty on the upcoming presidential election. The colloquium, "The 2012 Presidential Election & the Issues Confronting the United States," explored healthcare, jobs creation, national budget, support for the middle class/family, and leadership traits of the candidates. Panel members consisted of Dr. Carol Awasu (Professor of Social Work), Dr. David Weir (Professor of History), Prof. James Muckell Associate Professor of Accounting), and Dr. Vilma Balmaceda (Associate Professor of Political Science).

The monthly colloquium is sponsored by The College of Arts & Sciences in collaboration with The Center for Scholarship & Global Engagement.
