Dr. Larry Poston, Chair and Professor of Religion, along with Stuart Guild, presented a paper at the Northeast Chapter of the Evangelical Theological at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton, MA on Saturday, April 21, 2012.  Stuart Guild is a junior at Nyack College and Alpha Chi Honor Society member, double majoring in Religion and Bible.

The paper, “After the Love Has Gone: The Historical Effects of Revivalism,” focuses on the historical reactions to the “Great Awakenings” revivalist movements and describes how such counter-revivals contributed to the secularization of American society.
