Shakespeare Alive and well in Manhattan Campus

The Shakespeare Alive event, co-sponsored by the Department of English and Department Student Life at the Manhattan Campus was a great success.  On March 29, 2012, the Cornerstone Arts Alliance performed scenes from Shakespearean plays and sonnets.  According to Dr. Elaine Lux, Deputy Chair and Professor of English, “The troupe was highly sensitive to the audience, as well as to the texts.  The dramatizations, the musical accompaniment, the explanations, the question-and-answer period at the end combined to help many students see Shakespeare as a living and exciting presence.”
