Lake Worth, FL- The men's baseball team was defeated by nationally ranked Franklin Pierce University by a score of 5-4. The Warriors fall to 1-8 on the season.
Women's Basketball's Playoff Run Ends in NCAA Opening Round

The women's basketball team saw an unbelievable playoff run come to a close this evening in Massachusetts as the women fell in the opening round of the Division II national tournament to #1 Franklin Pierce by a score of 71-46.
Franklin Pierce raced out to a 21-4lead midway through the first half, but the Warrriors would fight their way back into itand did outscore the Ravens, 16-7, over the next seven minutes topull within 28-20. However, Franklin Pierce scored nine of thehalf’s final 11 points to take a 37-22 lead heading into thelocker room at halftime. Franklin Pierce would maintain a double-digit lead for the remainder of the game before winning by a score of 71-46.
Jasmine Minter and Kelsy McIntosh would both reach double-digits in scoring, Minter posting 13 points and McIntosh adding 11 points. The women close out their 2009-10 campaign with an overall record of 21-12, a regular season CACC Noth Title, and a CACC Tournament Championship.

Baseball Defeats Mercy 2-1 in 5 innings
Men's Baseball
Fort Pierce, FL- The men's baseball team notched their first win of the 2010 season in a 2-1 rain shortened victory over Mercy College. Mercy falls to 3-3 on the season and Nyack improves to 1-4.
Mercy added 1 run in the top of the first but the Warriors would answer with 2 runs in the bottom of the inning to take a 2-1 advantage. Nyack would hold the lead through the fifth inning before rained washed out the end of game 1 and all of game 2.
Kevin Earlie picks up his first victory of the season, pitching 5 strong innings allowing 1 earned run and striking out 3. Jonathan Mott was 2 for 3 and Carlos Hidalgo was 1 for 2 with an rbi.
The Warriors take on Dowling College tomorrow evening in Santaluces, FL with gametime set for 630 PM.
