Caldwell, NJ - The men's basketball team was defeated ln a conference game against Caldwell College this evening by a score of 94-69.
After a hard fought first half, Caldwell would take a narrow 5 point lead into the break by a score of 42-37. The Warriors would quickly cut the Caldwell lead to two points with just over 13 minutes remaining in the contest at 55-53. But Caldwell would answer with a 8-0 run to take a ten point lead with 11 minutes to play. Nyack would fight to pull as close as 4 points with 7 minutes remaining, but Caldwell would finish the game with a 27-6 run to win 94-69.
Four Warriors would post double-figures in scoring led by Chris Hampton with 19 points. Hampton also added a team high 5 assists. Lafayette Curtis would also post 16 points and pull down a team high 6 rebounds. Khalid Samuels would total 11 points and Jose Pena-Benjamin would add 10 in the losing effort.
The Warriors return to action this Thursday when they host Dominican College at 8 PM.
