Nyack, NY- The men's basketball team was defeated by the University of New Haven by a score of 77-61 this evening at Bowman Gymnasium. The loss drops the Warriors record to 0-12 overall.
Nyack would trail UNH by 6 points with 7 minutes remaining in the first period of play at 22-16 but New Haven would finish the half with a 14-8 run to pull to a 36-24 lead at the break. New Haven would use the run at the end of the first half to take command of the game before winning 77-61.
Lafayette Curtis would continue his hot shooting with a 6-10 performance from the floor and a team high 17 points. Khalid Samuels and Louis Allen also reached double figures in scoring in the loss with Allen 12 points and pulling down a team high 5 rebounds and Samuels totaling 10 points.
Nyack will return to action on Friday December 30th when they travel to take on Dowling College at 7:00 PM.
