Women's Volleyball Announces Signing of Brianna Kane

Nyack, NY- Women's Volleyball Coach Raquel Shaffer is pleased to announce the signing of Brianna Kane from Bethany, CT. Kane played both basketball and volleyball at West Woods Christian Academy in Hamden, Ct. She was a four year starter in volleyball earning recognition as a 4 time first team All Conference, 4 time All Tournament, 2 time Conference MVP and 3 time school Warrior Award recipient for overall skill and leadership. In the off season Brianna has been actively involved with the Connecticut Juniors Volleyball program as a team setter for both the 17-1 and 18-1 travel program. She has competed in tournaments such as Denver Crossroads, Washington, D.C. Classic, NEQ in Baltimore, MLK kickoff in Lancaster, PA., and the Great Nor’easter in NY. Her 17-1 team played in the Miami National Championships in 2009 and her 18-1 team (Blue Crush) received a recent bid to the National Championships in Reno, Nevada.
Brianna has been on honors/high honors all four years in high school and has maintained a 4.0 average entering her senior year. She was nominated to the National Congressional Youth Leadership Award and selected ACSI distinguished High School Student in Academics and Athletics.
Brianne Cercone Receives 2nd Team All-CACC Honors

New Haven, CT- The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has announced its 2009 Women's Volleyball All-Conference Team, and Nyack's Brianne Cercone has been named the CACC's 2nd Team Middle Hitter. Cercone helped guide the Warriors to a 10-13 record in her senior campaign. Cercone led the team in kills with 259 on the season and finished 2nd overall in the conference with a .291 hitting percentage.
Caldwell Takes Down Volleyball in First Round of the CACC Playoffs

CALDWELL, N.J. - The Nyack Warriors fell to Caldwell College this evening in the opening round of the CACC postseason volleyball tournament by a score of 3-1 (25-16, 14-25, 8-25, 25-27).
Volleyball Falls to Georgian Court 3-0
Women's Volleyball
Lakewood, NJ- The women's volleyball team fell to Georgian Court this evening by a score of 3-0 (25-27,20-25,24-26). The loss drops the Warriors to 10-11 on the season and 9-9 in the CACC. Georgian Court remains perfect at 18-0 on the season in conference play and 23-9 overall.
Volleyball Falls to Dominican 3-0

Orangeburg, NY- The women's volleyball team fell this evening to the Chargers of Dominican College by a score of 3-0 (12-25, 21-25, 19-25). The loss drops the women to 10-10 overall on the season and 9-8 in CACC play. The Chargers improve to 21-9 overall and 15-4 in the conference.
