Nyack, NY-  Warriors volleyball coach Raquel Shaffer is pleased to announce the signing of Michelle Makela for the upcoming 2010 season.  Makela, a three sport athlete at Cocoa High School in Cocoac, FL, Michelle earned varsity letters in volleyball, soccer, and tennis.  In 2008 Michelle made all Cape Coast Conference as libero. 

 She was fourth in her class and graduated with honors while also obtaining an Associates of Arts degree from Brevard Community College as part of her high school education.  Within the past two years, Michelle has volunteered more than 1000 community service hours. This past year at UCF, she completed more than half of those community service hours as a volunteer coach for the Brevard County Starlings Volleyball Club.
