Contributing Faculty

Dr. Rob Reimer

Rev. Dr. Rob Reimer, a contributing faculty member of ATS, is the founding and lead pastor of South Shore Community Church a church of the Christian & Missionary Alliance in Brockton, Massachusetts. Under Rob’s leadership, what began as a small group of eight believers mobilized on mission to start a new church resulted in hundreds of people coming to faith in Christ. He teaches Soul Care at the Doctoral level and has taught various classes at the Masters level, including Personal, Professional and Theological Foundations for Ministry; Evangelism; Mentoring; Pastoral Methods; Person in Ministry; Soul Care; and Intimacy and Authority. Rob loves training pastors and leaders, the diversity of ATS and being with people of great Kingdom influence.

Dr. Reimer was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by the Christian and Missionary Alliance in 1993. He earned a B.A in English from King’s College, a MDiv. from Alliance Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate in Preaching from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. In addition to lead pastor he is also a field pastor for the C&MA in Senegal and an Associate with Global Leadership, Inc. Dr. Reimer also travels internationally to train and equip Christian leaders for the work of ministry, focusing on assisting pastors in addressing issues within their souls so that they will be fully functional, healthy leaders who are able to influence others. He just completed his second published book, River Dwellers: Living in the Fullness of the Spirit, and has begun working on a third book which will focus on soul care.

Dr. Reimer and his wife Jen live in the Bridgewater, MA area with their four children, Danielle, Courtney, Darcy, and Craig. He loves to read books that inspire my hunger for God, biographies, and some books just for fun. Although currently residing in Boston he is a loyal Yankee fan and was able to attend Derek Jeter's last game at Yankee Stadium. He bikes 15-20 miles a day and loves rides on his BMW Motorcycle. Dr. Reimer goes to a monastery every two months to be alone with God. It has shaped his life and ministry. Ever need to know anything about Winston Churchill or Abraham Lincoln? Dr. Remer is the one to ask, he has read over 50 books about them.

Kevin Gillen

Kevin Gillen, a retired Lieutenant from the Fire Department for the City of New Rochelle, NY, where he served for 22 years, is an Adjunct Professor of Bible and Theology. He is also an Associate Pastor of Ridgeway Alliance Church in White Plains. NY.  Professor Gillen is passionate about the diversity of the ATS Faculty and student body combined with the international nature of the C&MA and how it converges in the classroom. There is a constant and healthy challenge for us to think through theology and practice faith dynamically.

He received a B.S in Church & Organizational Management from Nyack College and an MDiv. from Alliance Theological Seminary. He is currently working on his Doctorate at Alliance Theological Seminary. He is currently hoping to publish a practical guide to theology for use in the local church. His ministry focus has been to build bridges to the community of White Plains through serving needs of the city, partnering with Kraft Foods and the Food Bank for Westchester as well as the Department of Social Services in order to better serve the needy.

Kevin and his wife Alyssa have four children: Caleb, Cassidie, Serena, and Scarlet.  He enjoys all sports and likes to read and write. He really loves to travel with his family and taking in Broadway shows with Alyssa. Although he has given up most of his "adrenaline rush activities" like running into burning buildings and skydiving, this summer he is looking forward to scuba diving for the first time. Don’t let the tough firefighter aesthetic fool you; on the inside, Kevin is the soft and sensitive type and likes to garden.
